Cutting Energetic Connections to People, Situations or Emotions

Every person we interact with, even someone who merely glances at us on the street, creates an energetic connection with us which remain stored in our inner data bank, like a memory. These connections can either dissipate through neglect or strengthen with attention.

Brief encounters with passersby may quickly fade from our awareness, while those who stay in our lives or on our minds—such as close friends, family members, or colleagues—tend to create more lasting connections. These connections aren't always with people we cherish; they can also involve unresolved issues or feelings of anger towards others.

Lingering connections, whether with a family member we have a strained relationship with, a friend we’re upset with, an ex-partner, a previous job, or anything that has caused us frustration, can occupy our thoughts and emotions, impacting our energy and well-being. These unresolved connections can weigh heavily on us.

Cutting cords involves releasing these energetic entanglements and bonds with people and situations you're ready to move on from. While some cords, such as those with a child, partner, best friend or a pet, bring us joy and support, others may be tied to challenging experiences like an ex-partner, a former job, or a toxic friend. Even after separating from these relationships, their energy can linger and affect our thoughts and interactions.

Actively cutting these cords and declaring, "I am officially done," helps release residual energy and allows you to move forward with greater clarity and peace.

There are a few variations which I am in the process of preparing as you are reading this.  These practices involve visualizing and releasing the connections to free yourself from negative influences and emotional baggage.

You can recognize unwanted cords when you find yourself frequently discussing or obsessing over how someone has mistreated you. This often happens because their energy is still active in your field, or they may be attempting to connect with you or gossip about you.

The simplest method is to first establish your own energetic field. Then, focus on pushing the other person's energy out of your space and sending it away to a distance where it no longer disrupts your energy.

Boundaries of Light

Another way is by consciously cutting and releasing these energetic cords. This way you clear the lingering energy associated with unresolved issues, creating space for healing and positive growth.

(Coming soon as a guided meditation.)

Another simple method is Clearing Our Energy Field

As we move through life, we naturally absorb energies from those around us, as well as from the spaces we inhabit. Over time, these energies can accumulate, leaving us feeling drained, overwhelmed or disconnected from our own essence.

This simple yet effective technique helps you release these external energies, allowing you to restore balance and reconnect with your authentic self. Whether you're dealing with stressful situations, crowded environments or challenging interactions, regularly clearing your energy field ensures that you maintain your emotional and energetic well-being.
